The Siena College School of Business has maintained its business accreditation by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.

Lessons in Ethical Leadership

Former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pitney Bowes, Inc. Murray Martin, visited Siena College last month as part of the Lewis Golub Executive Lecture Series. The lecture series brings executives to campus to speak about business principles and practices including business ethics. Martin, who retired from Pitney Bowes earlier this month, delivered a speech titled, “Leading Responsibly: Putting Values in Action,” which he did in many ways at Pitney Bowes.

Real Food at Siena

During the fall semester Siena students and Dan Detora, director of dining services, changed some of the food-purchasing habits of the College toward locally produced organic foods or real foods. Real foods are considered sustainable ethical production and are nourishing for the consumer, producer and community as well as the health of our planet.

Focus On Sandy

Creative arts and digital photography students used their talent to raise more than $500 for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. During a two day event called Focus on Sandy, the photography students sold their photos and donated all of the proceeds to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief efforts.
