For the past eight years, students and faculty have gained a better understanding of what it means to be a global citizen by participating in the Siena College-Concordia University Globalization Conference. The annual two-day event brings together Siena students and faculty with their counterparts from Concordia University in Canada.

Moot Court/Mock Trial National Success

Siena College’s Honorable James P. King Moot Court/ Mock Trial team competed in the second round of the American Mock Trial Association’s annual national tournament last month in Easton, Pa. Although the team did not advance beyond the Opening Round Championship Series, the participants returned with personal and shared success.

Good Friends, Better Learning, Best Buddies

Three Siena College women were honored by Best Buddies New York during last month’s Women Making a Difference Luncheon. Katelyn Fletcher ’13, Abigail Hallock ’13 and Heather Hanrahan were recognized for their participation in Siena’s College-Based Transition Program, which helps special education students who have graduated from the North Colonie Central School District move into adulthood.

Phelan to Lead M.S. in Accounting Program

Elaine Phelan, CPA has been appointed Director of the Master of Science in Accounting Program at Siena College.The program prepares students for careers in the accounting profession and enhances their presentation and communications skills while strengthening their technical knowledge of accounting, auditing and taxation.
