St. Francis of Assisi was watching over Siena when it first opened its doors on September 22, 1937. The Franciscan spirit was palpable 85 years to the day later as faculty, staff, and administrators gathered to observe not only the College's birthday, but a new building and new guideposts to lead Siena
into the future.

Siena hosted the September 16 presentation “The Supreme Court’s Legitimacy and the Stench of Politics” for its annual Constitution Day observation. Ava Ayers, J.D., associate professor of law at Albany Law School, was the featured speaker.
