Following a national search, Ali Jaques was introduced as Siena's women's basketball head coach on Thursday, April 12 at a press conference held in the Marcelle Athletic Complex.

Students filled the Maloney Great Room to listen to NBA world champion and current ESPN NBA Analyst Bruce Bowen discuss a wide range of topics, including his professional career as a basketball player, network television, his trademark bowties, the importance of education and even "Lin-sanity."

Several Siena students and faculty received national recognition for their work in the theater program’s spring production of Hedda Gabler. They were recognized by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival program.

The Career Center’s annual Career Fair is another way Siena students are able to connect with potential employers. It has become a destination for businesses and future employees alike.

Siena College’s School of Business Lecture Series concluded with a presentation by Business Review Publisher Carolyn Jones and Editor Mike Hendricks. Their lecture was called “News and Information: Its critical role in your career and success.”

As part of Siena’s Summer Legal Fellows Program, Joey O’Rourke ’12 had the opportunity to undertake legal research alongside second and third year law students at Western New England University of Law. He studied the expanse of legal implications that have resulted since the spill.

Armed with blankets, pillows and lots of hope, more than 300 participants stayed up all night during Siena College’s annual Relay For Life.

Siena College's Sr. Thea Bowman Center for Women recently hosted The Cinderella Project’s annual Boutique Day. This year, more than 150 young women attended the enent, which supplies those in need with free prom dresses and all the accessories needed to make their big night memorable. The financially disadvantaged women also received make-up, jewelry and handbags.

Students, faculty and staff filled the Sarazen Student Union recently to see their classmates, colleagues and favorite professors have their heads shaved. Again this year, Siena College's Gaelic Society hosted a special event for the St. Baldrick's Foundation called "Shaving the Way to Conquer Kids’ Cancer."

The Siena College Symposium on Living Philosophers Public Lecture Series culminated with the return of Professor Kwame Anthony Appiah, Ph.D. of Princeton University.
