Siena College celebrated its annual Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Summer Symposium where students shared with the community the faculty-led research they completed over the summer.

It can also help your parents feel good about your decision. How about a little proof of the influence an admissions event can hold? 

At the core of Siena College’s Franciscan tradition is a commitment to service and the cultivation of a vibrant community of faith. This year, this commitment has been revitalized by the arrival of a new Chaplain and leadership in the Franciscan Center for Service and Advocacy.

As part of its St. Francis Week festivities, Siena will host its annual Clare Center Lecture. The academic lecture focuses on the contemporary implications of Siena’s Franciscan and Catholic tradition.

We get to ask prospective students all the time what they look for in a college. A very common response: student life. And when we question what specifically they mean, it usually comes down to what students do for fun.

One of the newest additions to the Siena campus is the Veteran and Cadet Lounge. This and other initiatives helped Siena earn the distinction as a Military Friendly School.

When Siena students really want something, Siena students get it. Case in point: During his time here, the class of 2014’s student body president and GOLD scholar, Ryan Murphy, helped convince the school that the Sarazen Student Union needed a fresh renovation. Now, it’s cooler than ever (if we do say so ourselves).

The Siena College campus was steeped in the tradition of Hollywood last week during the annual VISTA Video Showcase, which highlighted the volunteer experiences of Americorps VISTA Fellows.
