Last Saturday, nine executive board members from Siena’s Marketing Association attended the Intercollegiate Business Convention sponsored by the Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business.

If you’ve been following our blog since the beginning, you know that Siena College wholeheartedly welcomes undeclared students. But for those of you who would rather enter college with an intended major or area of interest (or, if you’re at that point in college when it’s time to declare one, and you happen to be reading our blog), this post is for you. As you zero in on a concentration, keep these considerations in mind—to both help you decide and help you stress less about your choice.

With a warm blessing on a chilly autumn afternoon, the newest addition to campus, The Grotto at Siena College was officially opened. It gives the Siena community a beautiful new place for reflection, healing and prayer.

After finishing his degree at Siena College, Esperandieu Cenat returned to his home country of Haiti to start an orphanage. It is now functioning thanks to his hard work and fundraisers like the annual "Host for Haiti" event which kicked-off on campus.

Zachary Larson ’15 led the Mohawk Battalion Ranger Challenge team to a third place finish in the small school category and ninth out of 42 overall at the U.S. Army Cadet Command Ranger Challenge Competition.

Siena College graduate Toby Sorge '06 was recently selected as one of the country's Master Teachers through a project sponsored by the National Education Association. Sorge credits his Siena College professors with helping to shape his teaching style.

Julie Sullivan ’15 became the first Siena student to win the best student paper award at the New York State Economics Association Conference.

Just for fun, we asked current students to complete the sentence “You know you go to Siena when…” Take a look at some of their responses below! Yes, many are inside jokes. But lists like these can often give you a sense of what life is like at a particular college or in a certain region. And as you can see here, Siena students are nothing if not fun, polite, intelligent and tight-knit.

Siena College has completed a number of student-centered renovations, including major changes inside several academic buildings and in the Sarazen Student Union. All of the facility upgrades will enhance the overall student experience.

Executive Director of Environmental Advocates of New York Peter Iwanowicz ’89 says you can do "just about anything" with a liberal arts degree. He shared his story and reinforced the value of Siena’s liberal arts education during a recent lecture.
