Since you already know how much the Siena community loves the Capital Region year-round, we changed it up for this post. See what a few local celebs told us were their favorite things about the holidays in our neck of the woods. Spoiler alert: they love it just as much as we do.

John Moustakas, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, ended the academic year by posing a challenge to the students in his Introduction to Engineering class. Titled “Ultimate Projectile Contest,” this hands-on competition put the students’ classroom knowledge to the test, while also challenging them to work effectively in a team.

As the end of the semester draws near and final exam week begins, students find solace in the arrival of the biannual “Blessing of the Brains” event.

Todd Weintraub ’90 returned to Siena to conduct his business lecture, “Humility: The Missing Ingredient to Success,” on Wednesday, December 2. As an experienced board of directors member and former Chief Financial Officer of Macquarie Infrastructure Company, Weintraub was able to parlay knowledge of many facets of the business world to the future business men and women in attendance

Siena alumna Mara Afzali ’14 was recently named the winner of the 2015 Albany Law School Domenick L. Gabrielli Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition.
