Saints Receive Honorary Proclamation

Their work creating prosthetic arms for children has received worldwide media coverage, and on May 12 they received an honorary proclamation from New York state Senator Neil D. Breslin. Six key members of the Siena College e-NABLE team are graduating on May 14, and to mark the occasion, Sen. Breslin conferred the honor upon them in the office of Br. F. Edward Coughlin, O.F.M., Ph.D., president of Siena.

Siena College was named a Champion for Children by Northern Rivers at its annual dinner on May 10 in downtown Albany. The event was attended by Siena students and administrators.

Each year, Siena’s First Year Seminar program holds a conference that allows students to showcase their research, practice presentation skills and learn more about their peers’ unique academic interests. Siena’s First Year Seminar program consists of a wide range of topics, allowing students to choose their own field to study for the entire academic year.

Siena seniors, Susana Garcia ’17 and Jenna Kersten ’17 and alumnus Eben Yonnetti ’12 have been selected for the 2017-2018 prestigious Fulbright U.S. Program, which offers research, study and teaching opportunities in over 140 countries to recent graduates and graduate students.
