DREAM BIG: UNLOCKING SIENA'S FULL POTENTIAL IN THE SCIENCES
The Nobel Hall science center expansion and Roger Bacon renovation will directly impact 41% of the Siena College student body (and growing!) The science complex will feature approximately 40,000 sq. ft. of all-new specialized laboratories, active learning spaces, and more. This transformative project is Siena's launchpad toward its goal of becoming the #1 college in the region for the sciences.
Enhanced student experience
- More space for collaborative and active learning (including maker space)
- Specialized laboratories
- Departmental faculty located in same area
- Better instructional facilities
- Improved reputation for the academic programs
The Transformative Gift
Das Nobel ’06 and his wife and Siena Trustee, Nipa, will fully fund an expansion of the science center with the addition of Nobel Hall. When completed, their $35 million gift will help transform Siena’s footprint and unleash the College’s full potential in the sciences.
“The foundation from Siena College enabled us to give back to my alma mater in a way that will impact the next generation of leaders,” Nobel said. “I am proud to be a Siena alumnus and hope this contribution will inspire future students to dream big.”

CAMPUS PARKING CHANGES
The footprint of Nobel Hall and the area required during construction will displace 100 to 150 parking spaces in Lot G.
When construction begins, Lot F will be taken offline for the summer of 2023. The work is expected to be completed before the fall semester begins.
Friars Road will be realigned as part of the Nobel Hall construction project. A section of the road will be taken offline following Commencement.
