Our School of Business offers undergraduate majors in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, and Marketing. In addition, we offer the undergraduate Business Major that allows students to combine concentrations in two business disciplines. We also offer an MS in Accounting and an MBA with concentrations in Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing, and Strategic Management.

Studying business at Siena, you'll learn in small classes with direct access to your professors. You'll get hands-on experiences in our state-of-the-art Hickey Financial Technology Center, Raub Trading Room, and Alonge Accounting Lab. You'll conduct and present undergraduate research, publish papers, and attend national conferences. And, you will take internships and you'll participate in projects that support local nonprofit organizations.

Making the Grade

Of the more than 16,000 schools granting degrees in business, fewer than five percent have earned AACSB accreditation. Siena initially received the accreditation in December 2006. This prestigious accreditation means that our faculty meets very high standards in teaching and research.

Applied Learning - Student Engagement Opportunities

Internships are one of the best ways for students to transition from college to landing a job and cashing a paycheck. Internships provide real world experience. They connect students with potential employers and industry networks. They open doors.

Siena College values classroom learning and high-impact, hands-on learning. That’s why we established our Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (CURCA).

Undergraduate Research

Independent Study courses allow students to work on topics of their choosing under the supervision of a faculty member. Independent Study courses provide students with in-depth learning opportunities that involve private consultation with the advisor and independent research.

Siena’s Center for Academic Community Engagement (ACE) is built on community-engaged learning. Saints who participate in ACE programs have the opportunity to enhance their academic experiences by getting out of the classroom and into the world.

The David ‘73 and Christine Spicer ‘75 Stack Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is an interdisciplinary program focused on business creation from idea development through commercialization. The Center’s primary focus is on student businesses but with a secondary focus on outside business ideas that can also engage student interest and learning.

The HFTC was established to give students at Siena College real-world exposure to the data and tools used in the world’s largest financial centers.
