Economics fosters an understanding of the social world through science. Rooted in Siena’s Franciscan tradition, our program uses theory and data to assess economic policy and solve problems related to business and public issues. Gain a strong analytic foundation with a liberal arts focus, while exploring economic justice, community engagement, faculty mentorship and undergraduate research.
As an economics major, you'll have plenty of opportunity apply what you are learning in the classroom. Experiences offered include working with local nonprofits and community partners, research alongside faculty experts, funded summer research, presenting at regional and national conferences, fed challenge competition and an econometrics capstone project.
