Our tutors have excellent communication skills, but they are also generous, kind, and respectful.

Because they've experienced anxiety about assignments and faced looming deadlines, they understand visiting writers may be apprehensive about sharing their work. They strive to create an inclusive environment where every student feels comfortable and welcome.

Writing 240, our three-credit peer tutor training course. 

This prerequisite is a writing intensive seminar complete with a community engagement component at our partner schools.
