Training in person can take 2-3 hours.  These online videos have been created to let you step through training at your own pace and review training as necessary. 

You can edit the website from anywhere you can get to a browser.  You do not have to be on campus to edit.  
Although most browsers should work, please avoid Internet Explorer.  It is suggested to use Chrome or Firefox

  • create a new page

  • add a button

4. Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 ADA Compliant
  • Websites are considered places of public accommodations and must be accessible for people with disabilities.
    • Accessibility involves a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
  • Inaccessible websites face serious  legal consequences 

Much of the guidelines were considered and accommodated with the design of our website.  But there are some issues that must be manually dealt with.

When creating your content be sure to
  • Fill in the image description field - used by screen readersimage description field
  • Verify any uploaded documents (PDF) are accessible
  • Be sure to Paste as Text when copying text from other sources
    • Word documents and E-Mail message contain hidden code that define text size, color and font.  Some of these are not WCAG 2.1 acceptable . Pasting as text will default to the website size, color and font which have been verified.
