During the College’s first campus-wide meeting of the spring semester, President Fr. Kevin Mullen ’75, O.F.M., Ph.D. announced promotions within Siena’s senior administration, the President’s Cabinet. Mullen said that expanding the Cabinet will allow the College to more effectively pursue the goals outlined in Living Our Tradition: The Strategic Plan for Siena College.

Schools of Business Dean Frederick DeCasperis, Ed.D., School of Liberal Arts Dean Janet Shideler, Ph.D. and School of Science Dean Allan Weatherwax, Ph.D. have been added to the President’s Cabinet.

“It is essential to have the College’s full academic leadership at the table to participate in strategic conversations and decision making,” Mullen said. “Adding these distinguished colleagues to the senior leadership team will streamline communication and provide a forward-thinking approach to academics that will strengthen Siena’s liberal arts curriculum and position the College for future success in all areas.”

Director of Athletics John D’Argenio is also joining the President’s Cabinet and is being promoted to the position of Vice President and Director of Athletics.

“After working at Siena for more than 20 years and serving on a variety of campus-wide committees, John’s insight and perspective are widely respected across campus,” Mullen said. “His leadership will help Siena meet the goals outlined in the Strategic Plan and move forward with the proposed athletic facility renovations.”

Finally, Chief of Staff Fr. Ken Paulli ’82, O.F.M., Ed.D. is being promoted to the position of Vice President and Chief of Staff.

“Throughout the past seven years as Chief of Staff, Fr. Ken has taken the lead on several successful strategic initiatives that have helped to advance the College’s Mission, improve academics and build community,” Mullen said.
