Jason Rich '98 is the Vice President for Strategy, Communications, and Outreach at Siena College. He occupies a leading role in the development, implementation, and assessment of the College’s Strategic Plan, identifying opportunities and empowering employees across the organization to reimagine possibilities and realize goals. Rich's primary focus lies in developing and executing a comprehensive brand and reputation strategy that resonates with diverse stakeholders. As the senior most communications executive, he develops and directs the College’s communications strategy, including: message and content development; public and government affairs; issues and crisis management; internal, external and executive communications; and graphic design services.
Rich oversees the Office of Communications and Public Affairs and the Siena College Research Institute, supervises the staff in the Office of the President, and is the College’s strategic liaison with the Board of Trustees.
Rich earned his B.S. in finance from Siena in 1998 and has worked at his alma mater since that year, holding leadership marketing and communications roles in the athletic department and the enrollment and marketing department before transitioning to the President’s office in June of 2020. Rich earned his master’s in educational leadership and policy studies from Boston University in 2020. He and his wife, Victoria, have two sons, Benjamin and Samuel.
