Siena Alert System
The Siena Alert System (SAS) enables officials from Public Safety, Student Affairs, or Academic Affairs to send urgent text alerts to cell phones with text message capability, e-mail accounts, pagers, and web pages.
This page is designed to inform the Siena College community about emergency preparedness and response. Siena College's Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) has been established to provide advance planning for emergencies that affect the overall operation of the College. Through rapid response and communication, the Emergency Operations Team (EOT) will assist in protecting the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and visitors.
Not all emergencies require the same degree of response and each incident is evaluated on a case by case basis. Major emergencies and disasters will require notification of the Emergency Operations Team (EOP).
Major Emergency - any incident, potential or actual, which affects an entire building or buildings and would disrupt the overall operation of the College.
Disasters - any event or occurrence, which has taken place and has seriously impaired or halted the operations of the College.
The Director of Public Safety will notify members of the Emergency Operations Team (EOP) and the community will be provided with information and instructions as quickly as possible.
