Siena Alert System
The Siena Alert System (SAS) enables officials from Public Safety, Student Affairs, or Academic Affairs to send urgent text alerts to cell phones with text message capability, e-mail accounts, pagers, and web pages.

Emergency
- A red band will appear across the top of every webpage on siena.edu to provide timely information for students, parents, faculty, staff, and other members of the College community.
- Information will be updated regularly as new information becomes available.
- Siena Alert messages will be transmitted to all registered accounts.
Critical Emergency
- www.siena.edu will be redirected to an emergency information page

Activation of the Emergency Operations Team
Not all emergencies require the same degree of response and each incident is evaluated on a case by case basis. Major emergencies and disasters will require notification of the Emergency Operations Team (EOP).
Major Emergency - any incident, potential or actual, which affects an entire building or buildings and would disrupt the overall operation of the College.
Disasters - any event or occurrence, which has taken place and has seriously impaired or halted the operations of the College.
The Director of Public Safety will notify members of the Emergency Operations Team (EOP) and the community will be provided with information and instructions as quickly as possible.
